Kya of the South

So I've been reading tutorials all over DA and in several Photoshop magazines regarding digital painting.
Been really- REALLY - helpful.
Wish I could give credit, but I can't remember whose accounts I've visited. Sorry >.>

Anyway, another portrait.
Another Avatar piece.

Kya from the Southern Water Tribe. Kind've an amalgam of the designs seen both in "The Swamp" and "The Southern Raiders." 'Cause I mean, seriously? First the awesome hair loopies and then that up-do/bun thing? What gives?

Some parts of the piece are semi-realistic while other parts are just messy/painterly. Lol. Was in a rush to hurry up that her coat turned out to be a mess. Whoops.

The highlight above her lip bothers me a bit. Like a milk mustache. Lol. Might go back and turn that down a bit. Not happy with her eyes either. They're oddly shaped. But hey, what can ya do?

EDIT: Re-uploaded a reworked version. some bits that were bothering me. Still some bits that should be tweaked. Oh well. Moving right along.
